As part of its policy to promote the education of candidates to gain entry to the profession, the Law Society, on the recommendation of its Standing Committee on Bursaries & Sponsorships, granted bursaries to several students.
The recipients for 2024 are the following:
Bursaries re-allocated:
1. Johanna Endjala – a 2nd year LLB student at the University of Namibia
2. Regina Songara – a 3rd year LLB student at the University of Namibia
New Bursaries:
1. Tracy Salufu – a 2nd year LLB student at the University of Namibia
2. Ndeshimona Kuzatjike – a 1st year LLB student at the University of Namibia
3. Mire Mweendeleli – a 1st year LLB student at the University of Namibia
4. Peneyambeko Tutaleni – a 1st year LLB student at the University of Namibia
The amount spent on bursaries for 2024 amounts to N$132,000.00.
It would not have been possible for the LSN to award these bursaries without the continued financial contributions of the Legal Practitioners’ Fidelity Fund (LPFF) and the Namibian Legal Practitioners’ Trust (NLPT).
